Applet and MTS component activation

Hi all,

I have a question concerning MTS component activation.
I know how to activate a component from ASP, and transfer data between the two. Is this possible directly from an applet running in a remote browser ?

If so, how do I do it?

Or do I have to somehow use ASP as a go-between to get the result I want?
