i have a G4 with OS 9.0.4 and APPLE DVD player 2.7.
when playing any DVD there is a clicking sound every few seconds from the left channel. this does not occur when CD's are played. i have upped the memory allocation and tried reinstalling the DVD software but nothing helps, can you ?

cheers, ben.

Hi,
Try upgrading to 9.2, run software update. Also, disable any extensions you don't need. Apple's default system install dumps alot of things that you won't need. Sometimes these can have performance hits against the cpu or take up ram.
Best of luck,
PT
