Appending to tape in Arcserve for NT (How?)

Of course I have 'append' checked! But Arcserve feels that instead of appending to the specified tape, it must format a blank tape of the same name. I am using HP surestore changer and I am using a custom schedule (not rotation).

When configuring your bu job, go to the Options button and select the Backup Media tab. I believe the selection for "append to media" is selected by default. Also, if you are setting a bu job to run on a GFS rotation scheme, select the Enable GFS check box on the left-hand side of the Schedule tab while configuring your bu. When doing this you enable the checkbox for Append Media.
