What is the fastest way to append records from a table in an Access database to another in a different access database? Is it possible with 'Select * Into ...." SQL statement?

Hi Addulah,

Yes, I think you're on the right track with your select...into statement.

One thing occurs to me. If the two tables don't have the same fields you can't just say select * -- you have to give a field list.

Have a look at the Access forum if you get into difficulties.

Mike
Mike_Lacey@Cargill.Com
<a href= Cargill's Corporate Web Site
Please don't send me email questions without posting them in Tek-Tips as well. Better yet -- Post the question in Tek-Tips and send me a note saying "Have a look at so-and-so in the thingy forum would you?" My home email is michael.j.lacey@ntlworld.com&lt
