Appending .DBF files to import new data / sales orders

Currently we are running a dos SBT Visionpoint and are entering 100's of sales orders manually. We are using Microsoft Access to update the DBF with some data like shipping address from a csv table. Ideally, I would like use access to import the entire order. Is this possible? My biggest concern would be the SONO sales order number that does not yet exist in SBT.
