I have clients who submit parts orders which go under text box ID. They have a client ID associated with there submission. The problem I am have is that client a may have data imported in via a delimited file with the same ID's as another client.

I have a subform that associates ID so the cleints data is being mixed up. Can anyone point me in the right direction to figure it out???

Well... just a shot in the dark. You need to optimized that data model design. You should establish unique keys (primary keys) within each database table. A primary key is a set of field(s) that when combined establish a unique record in the table that no other record can be duplicated by. U may want to consider using an AutoNumber field also as a key. htwh... Steve Medvid

Tks, Steve. I have tried that with no luck. The problem is that the main form has a ProgID #. It receives this number from the import of the txt file. Unfortunetely, there are subforms that have revenue data and employee data and have an imported ProgID # also. When the clients exported the data, all three tables had a ProgID value. When I import them into the master database, each agency may have several of the same ProgID's. I am not sure where to go from here. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

where you have to go is where steve said--some how you have to create a unique identifier. there is no way access or anything else will be able to differentiate between clients who have the same ID number. you can use Autonum, or maybe smash together the ClientID and ClientName (is that unique?)or a combination of other fields that will give each record a unique id of some kind.....
