Please help me i have 2 tables in access and 1 table has similiar information to the other one.
Eg. Table 1 Table 2
Surname Surname
Works Number First Name
Location Works Number
Locker Number Location
Table 2 is the most up todate employee information and table 1 has added data eg locker number and others.

Problem i need to add table 2 to table 1 where surnames match and employee number match add the first name in the right place. Also if surname from table 2 is not found in table 1 then that employee need moving into another table.

Is this possible
Cheers Sherlock

ARE THE WORK NUMBER'S UNIQUE?
IF SO IT IS EASY TO MAKE TWO QUERIES, ONE TO FIND WORK NUMBERS IN TABLE 1 THAT ARE NOT IN TWO AND ANOTHER TO APPEND THE REMAING ONES TO TABLE 2

Yes the worknumbers are unique and i believed 2 queries was the answer but Access keeps refusing to do it, coming up with a database violation.???

Thanks for the reply anyway.
Dale
