Append Data to table

I am trying to append (import) data to a table which has constraints and locks put on some of the columns.Is there any way to add data to my table, as import wizard will not work because of the constraints, and imported data comes in .cvs format. I tried copy and paste directly into the table but that does not work neither.

I am new at this, so please help. I will provide any additional info if needed.

Create a staging table, bulk insetr into that then use an SP to add the data to the production tables.

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.
