Appearances get connected

Our receptionist is complaining that when she has calls in apeearances 1 and 3, that when she tries to transfer on of the calls it joins the conferences the appearances and drops them. It doesn't matter if there is or isn't a call on appearance 2. She swears that she is not hitting "Conf" instead of "Trnsfr".

Anybody ever seen this before?

try disabling call waiting & set the user to busy on hold.
not having these settings is known to cause similar problems with receptionists
