Appear one account in two different internal cards

Hello

I work as a IT manager in one firm (store). We have cash register
or cash desk in which of course work the cashier. In the cash register we have fiscal printer.
When the cashier all the times enter accounts in the computer the fiscal printer the memory of fiscal printer is recharges. In the end of the turn, the fiscal printer is emptied (the accounts in the fiscal printer are deleted) and we take out the Z-Report and then the database (foxpro with .dbf tables) is recharged with the record of one turn (example from 7:00 am to 3:00 am).

What we have sometimes to do is to change one account from one internal card (because we have internal cards) to another and we do it without problem, but
when we do that change in the same day that the account has happen (example. account number with number 123 which is in internat card 10 happen in 01/01/2011 and we change in another internat card that account in that day) and before Z-REPORT we meet with this problem. So the account example 123 appear in internal card (example 10) and also in internal card 20 (so in the internal card that had been before and after that we change).
Where can be the problem?

One problem is with your english, but as far as I understood you have two kinds of card numbers external and internal. You have the seldom situation a customer changes from external to internal card at one day and then that also is changed to a second internal card. Eg you go from external 123 to internal 10 and then internal 20.

Also I understand you have data at check registers you add to the central database each day.

And when you do thatonly the first translation is done.

Looks like the software is not handling two translations at the same data import into the central database. Then there's nothing you can do really, but manually make the second translation afterwards in the first run and in the long run ask the vendor to make a change.

Look,

we dont have external card but just internal cards. And we change accounts from one internal cards to another internal cards.
Account (what I mean) is every paper that is out of fiscal printer.
So when I buy MILKA CHOCOLATE the chashier give me a account that in database is for example a record with (number of account 123, time 12:00:00, number of internal card 10 and so on).

I as a administrator can change a account from one internal card to another because just I have acces to .dbf database, and that changes we do directly in .dbf database with foxpro in the server.

I try to understand you, but I don't. I don't get a clear picture in my mind of what you want to achive. I thought you are having a problem with an existing solution, but now I'm not sure if you just want to get guidance on how to extend it.

Like Olaf I too am having trouble understanding your problem.

Regardless, my first question is:
Is this program you are running one that you purchased?
If so, you need to go back to the people or company that created it and ask them what is going on.

If this is a program that someone in your company created specially for you, then contact that person and ask them what the problem is.

For us to help you maybe some examples would help us understand.

Also, did this program work at one time and now no longer works? If so, then what changed in your system?
