Apparent Block only part of a 'friendly' site

I have Norton Internet Security 2004, Ver. 10.0.1.13 (NIS). For a couple of months now I have been unable to access from home part of our own office site that maintains our production 'project files'. I can log on and access the tasks within the project, with Norton Anti-Virus and NIS still on, but when I ask for the global project listing, unless I turn off both these systems, I get a blank screen and 'done' at the bottom. I even have NIS Intrusion Protection ON and configured to tell when it blocks connections. I am never told a block occurs. I also have Autoblock checked ON with our site in the 'Excluded Computers' exclusions list.
Norton obviously (to me) is blocking the main file list but never tells me it is blocking. I just have to wait 30 minutes for the block to time-out, make sure both Nortons are OFF to then view our main project list again ... but unprotected. Of course, this hassle hits always at the wrong time.
Would sure appreciate some advice for a fix. TIA PetC
