I have to do this next Friday and was wondering if I should us a USB drive or try to do it via the webpage for this upgrade? If anyone has experience on this please let me know what you ran into or which direction I should go.
Mike

I did one a few months ago with a USB drive plugged into my laptop and used the App Server upgrade page to obtain the upgrade files through my PC to the USB drive. After that it was a lot of waiting. Are you just upgrading the App Server or do you also IP500V2 nodes attached to it that need to be upgraded too? I assume you have already installed the necessary upgrade licenses.

It is a IP500V2 with an Appserver for VM. I have everything I just want to make sure how to go about doing it. I have heard on the earlier release you can't use the webpage to upgrade but this could be misinformation.

I wasn't sure the release would allow that. I will try it. I had heard in earlier release to use the USB method that's why.
Thanks Mike

If I understand the 10.1 and 11.0 UCM install docs, you can go direct. They say go via 10.1 and that the 9.0 to 10.1 can only be done by USB. Once on 10.1 you can do the next step by ISO transfer.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

SO according to what you have read I need to use the USB upgrade for this? Do you have the doc that said this?

It's all on the knowledge base.
