Hello,

Latest crisis: App needed to record streaming web content unattended and replay at my leisure, sort of like TiVo for web content. Scheduling is a must. Hopefully this app will allow scheduled recording and be inexpensive...easy-to-use would be a plus. Any ides? Thanks gang!

linney,

Thanks for the reply. I assume you meant this product with the video add-in, would be perfect except for
The Total Recorder Video Capture Add-on allows you to play, record, and edit video files in AVI format.

I'm not sure exactly which format will be streamed. This is for my sister who wants to record an hour from Al Jazeera a day (she is a student of the Arabic language not a terrorist LOL) along with another Arabic TV-over-Internet channel. I will investigate which formats are used.

Thanks linney....yes, Google is always a starting point, but filtering through the results and trying to decipher instructions from other countries can be tedious. I was hoping a member would say "I use this" and save the legwork. Thanks anyway.
