This seems to be a common issue, but we haven't been able to correct it yet.

We have a CallPilot 201i ver 4.0 and need to create an auto attendant menu.

I am attempting to run application builder (04.04.04.05) from my client laptop.

for purposes of discussion:
The CP CLAN address is 192.168.1.15
My laptop CLAN address is 192.168.1.175

They can ping each other and I can access the server through RDP, so I believe the net connection to be OK.

I am able to launch app builder from my laptop, connect to the CP server with admin mailbox credentials, but when I try to create a new application, I get the following error message no matter what:

"The system could not load the application from the server, please check the connection to the server and try again."

PEPs CP40404SU03S.EXE,CP404S03G07C.EXE were run at the same time on the CP server from the console and are currently installed.

We have confirmed the security descriptor is set for anonymous on CP as described in a previous post.

The CP is up and 100% functional aside from not being able to be an auto attendant.

I am looking for any and all ideas so I can get this online. If anyone even has even a remote idea of what to try, please post. The server is not yet in production.

Thanks and have a nice weekend!

when you try this what is the application id ?and have you
tried a different application id?and what i mean by is
let say you are trying app id 1007 and it does not work
have you tried 1008?i had one that would not let me use
1024 but it let me use 1025 the software got hosed up
somewhere and had to reload the server.

no problems only solutions

That's a good tip, strmwalker

In our case, we received the error above no matter what app id number was used.

We resolved the issue but not the riddle yet.

We basically setup another PC w/ app builder client and got it to work.

I'd like to compare the working and non-working PCs so determine the cause (and fix mine) but I don't have access to both PCs.

Here's what is odd --> Before PEPs applied, both PC laptop1 and laptop2 received error. After PEPs, laptop1 still got the error but laptop2 could create an application cleanly.

what operating system are you using?and on the laptop
that has the problem do you have desktop messaging
loaded on it?

both laptops were win xp and neither had desktop messaging installed.
