Environment: Novell 6 servers, all the latest patches, ZFD 3.2 all
patches but K patch, W2k workstations.

we got our workstations importing to a container under our user
container:

O=D01M
O=WKSTN
O=D02M
O=WKSTN

etc....

Now when we try to associate an app to the workstation container,
nothing appears on the desktop when the workstation gets imported to
the container. We tried it with a simple app, Adobe Reader.

works OK for user associations though...

WE've given read and scan rights from our apps directory to the WKSTN
container, but it still doesn't work.

we've changed the read groups for apps for workstations to yes in the
Applauncher properties.

What am I misssing here?

Are the above changes unecessary?

We're implimenting Zen for the first time in our environment, and it
seems like every step I take, I hit a roadblock

I should note that our network admins haven't given me admin rights
yet to the whole tree, so everytime I need to make a change out side
the ZEN container that was created(the above objects are outside),
I have to ask them to make the changes.(12 times today)
I'm hoping to pester them to death till they give me the
rights....

Thanks

Tony, the crippled Zen administrator

Guess what the problem was?

don't laugh....

zenappws.dll, which was supposed to be on the machines before I took over this project was NOT on the machine.

Once this was put on the workstation, it mysteriously started working!!
duh!

now on to the next headache... 1603 MSI errors and PXE thru Vlan problems

Thanks for the response

Tony
