We have an APC Symmetra UPS with Powerchute software. We have been trying to set up the software to page or e-mail any errors or issues with the UPS. We do not have reverse dns lookup setup on the network. APC has reviewed our files and is not able to direct us toward resolving this issue.
We have setup a session to check communications. The UPS appears to be communicating okay. Somehow the messages are dropped between Powerchute and our mail server. There are no errors within Powerchute to indicate a configuration problem. We have tried numerous configurations and made many adjustments, but have not been able to resolve this issue.
