I have an APC SmartUPS 700iNET and when I connect it to my MS2000-computer it is recognized. It communicates well with the computer. But when I want to test it by "pulling the plug" everything completely shuts down.
I have tried to install Powerchute Plus and that works fine. Only when the power drops everything "drops" with it.

Can someone help me?

Well, this looks like the UPS is not working properly; maybe the batteries, maybe the electronics!

Does it show any kind of fault condition?

Have you plugged to it too many load, exceeding the UPS capacity? If this is true maybe the device is not sensing it in normal mode operation but when it changes to back-up mode the inverter is not able to handle the load requirements and an overload condition arises.
