i have a problem with a APC 1400 smart UPS , it only happens when a thunder storm is around and only some times , it will turn itself straight to off , it has only done it about 4 times in the last two years,,,
if the power fails it kicks in and runs for about 30mins and shuts down the pc and then turns it self off , or if power comes back will go back onto mains power as it should do
i presume that it is a voltage spike that is causing the UPS to shut down but i don't know a way to simulate this situation , is there any thing in the UPS that could of blown that would only effect this and not any other function of the ups
Thanks Anthony
