APC 3000XL with powechute business edition

HI,

I am trying to add a device to the console , when I try to add the ip address of the UPS, it says "failed to add x.x.x.x".

I need to be able to add this so I can allow it to gracefully shutdown my server in a power outage.

Anyone have any ideas?

Did you set the UPS IP address to an unused address in your internal range ? Have you checked to make sure no other device is using that address? If using DHCP, have you reserved the address you want the UPS to use ?
