Hello, I have been requested to get and install this APAR on a AIx 4.33 system that does not have outside (firewall)network access. I do have another system that does have access to web. Does anyone have any idea how I can do this ?? Also this APAR is not clear, it has to do with IPV6 gateway and it has a list of prereqs. Any ideas or experience would be sincerely appreciated.. Thanks

Your apar has a lot of prereqs and looks like it is greater than AIX 4.3.3.10 maintenancel level...mostly fixes to PSSP, and VSD and finally the kernels...
bos.mp and bos.up....

There appears to be 137 filesets which are prereqs, coreqs, and the actual patch...
You can use the steps below...if the customer has a software support contract, they can order it direct from IBM or you can try to use the other info below. Not sure what IBM's policy is today...but worth a try. The refresh would probably not help you as it looks like it past AIX 4.3.3.10...but you never know...

Any machine can download the patches...and then ftp them to another machine, or after they are downloaded in binary mode transferred to tape or CD which then can be manually taken to another machine? Total byte size of fix package(s): is 294232064 which is a lot.... So keep in mind that you will be downloading and then putting on tape or cd or whatever format works between the two machines....
Hope this is helpful to you.

How to obtain AIX updates and APAR packages:

In order for customers to obtain the AIX APARs, they can do one of the
following:

Customers with an existing AIX Support Contract may obtain these by Phone:

1. Call your local Service and Support team, or in the US call
1-800-237-5511, option #3, then option #1. This phone number is
Support Services. (This call does not require an IBM representative.
The customer may call this number directly.)

2. Customer will need to give them their machine type and serial number

3. The agent will verify their address and ask them the media type in
which they wish to receive the APARs.

4. The APARs will be sent to the customer for no charge in 3 to 5 days.

Customers WITHOUT an existing AIX Support Contract can obtain
these APARs by phone by calling the local IBM service and support
team, or in the US, 1-800-237-5511, option #3, then option #8.

1. The agent will verify their address and ask them the media type that
they wish to receive the APARs.

2. The APARs will be sent to the customer in 3 to 5 days.

Customers may also mail or fax their requests to their IBM
support centers for handling.

NOTE: Handling and shipping charges may be incurred by customers
without Support Contracts depending on location and country.

All customers may obtain these by Internet:

Downloading by APAR
1. Customers can download the APARs off of the web at:
Software fixes Rs6000 fixes
Software Refreshes:
Refresh CD on the WEB? Apparently you can go to this URL and order
the update (refresh) CD:
refresh
After you get past the initial screen there is an option for RS/6000 Refreshes.
Select that option and then you are prompted for a user id and password.
If you don't have one you can select an option for users who do not
have the id and password. Then fill in the screen as required.
Toward the bottom you will find a field for specifying what it is that
you want (AIX Version).
There's also a comment section as well.
