Hi

Ia want to install a helpdesk system.Got phphelpdesk, unzip and untar the source file..
With Mandrake10.1..using apache2 a tutorial gave me instructions to config as follows
mkdir /usr/local/httpd/htdocs/helpdesk

my error
mkdir: cannot create directory /usr/local/httpd/htdocs/helpdesk': no such file or directory

where can I config the phphelpdesk system on the linux box.

Those instructions assume your DocumentRoot is /usr/local/httpd/htdocs; I would look in your httpd.conf to see where the DocumentRoot is, then create the directory helpdesk there and start configuring.

new2learn,

Was this an online tutorial? Maybe there are other steps in this tutorial that you may have missed.

Go into your /usr/local/httpd/htdocs/ dir and create the [red]helpdesk[/red] folder by hand.
Then try to install again.
If more of [red]cannot create directory[/red] then go to the specified path and create the folder manualy.
