When trying to reach my server by typing or discovermountainbiking.net from outside my network, my server responds with the Apache default page. In fact, I have more domains, and they all do that. I figure this is a good start. It indicates to me that my DNS server is working.
The problem of course is that Apache never resolves the names and serves the default page.
A little background: I have public IPs registered to nameservers. 4.36.122.184 and 185. Feel free to DIG them. However, my nameservers reside BEHIND firewalls. So the firewalls actually have the public IPs. So, my nameservers run on class C IPs. I am using IP-based hosting. I have one network card in my server and it is aliased several times, one for each host. I have a hosts file linking IPs to names. In fact, everything works perfectly on the server itself.
Anything else you need to know? I am sure it is something small and simple. Yet no documentation has been helpful.
Help!
Thanks.
