Hello!
I wonder how to get Apache Web Server running on my machine.
My configuration is as follows:
Pentium II 300 MHz
Win2K professional (no Service Pack installed)
Apache Web Server v 1.3.14
Apache JServ 1.1.2
JSDK jar-files (runner.jar and servlet.jar), which i copied to c:\jdk1.3\lib
The Apache can´t start, neither as service or as a console application.
When I installed it on my former
WIN98-platform i worked just fine, when I tested it, by typing (ip-address for the localhost)in the Explorer address-field.
Then I was told that my installation of Apache Web Server was successful (that is, on my WIN98-platform).
Now (in my WIN2K-environment) I am only told that the web page can´t be found.
Is it the lack of the Service Pack 1 that is the problem?
No faults were reported during extracting of files and setup.
Can someone help me? I am interested in writing/executing servlets...
Best regards
/Perra
