Sorry if the isnt the right forum for this question. Cant find an appropriate forum.

I am looking at SVG examples on w3schools.com. The link and the simple SVG displays properly in Opera 9.0.

I moved a copy of the file to my local Apache server. When I try to display it, it simply shows the xml code.

I moved a copy to my ISP whose servers are also Apache and again, it simply shows the XML code.

I will appreciate your help!

If this were purely an apache question I'd say you can add .svg to your mime types or from within httpd.conf using AddType. However, this is not an apache issue. It is a browser issue. The fact that one browser can display it and another can't should tell you something. For example, I'm using IE at the moment and if I click on your link, I get a window asking if I want to download the page. If most or even many browsers can't make heads or tails out of svg, I'd wait a while before implementing it on my server/website.

Thanks for the advice about implementing new technology. I will keep that in mind.

Adding "image/svg+xml svg" to the mime.types file took care of the problem.
