Not sure if this is the best place to ask...

When I try to start apache it comes up with the following:

Cannot load /usr/local/apache-1.3.28/libexec/libssl.so into server: ld.so.1: /usr/local/apache-1.3.28/bin/httpd: fatal: libssl.so.0.9.6: open failed: No such file or directory
/usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl startssl: httpd could not be started

Hi,

It looks like you are missing a library.

Did you compile apache or install from CD or other source?

Which script are you using to start Apache? What is the syntax of the line in the script that is trying to start Apache?

Is LD_LIBRARY_PATH set in the script?
