does anyone know where i can download patch 2.5 or 2.1 for apache ssl?

Hi,

Based on that version number I think you mean the patch utility not the apache-ssl patches themselves. The 'origin' site is ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/patch/ although if you are using a rpm-based distro it might be better to get a rpm. If so search at

http://rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/

and type 'patch' (thats the rpm its in for redhat anyway.).

For apache-ssl itself, I guess you know thats at -->

http://www.apache-ssl.org/

cheers mate,

any idea how to use this patch. i have fun the fixpatch perl script which prompts be to enter a file name to patch. i have read the readme but it dosen't tell me what to enter here. any ideas?

Hi,

You have to unpack & run the patch from the correct directory in the apache source code tree - from memory...

cd /usr/src/apache_1.3.19
./Fixpatch
