Apache SSL HOW-TO

Hello,

Could someone point in me in the right direction? I have Apache v2 on my RH 7.3 box. OpenSSL was installed by default on the box, and so I compiled apache with --enable-ssl.

Now what? How do I configure the httpd file? Do I need a certificate?

You can order a free trial certificate from

http://www.verisign.com/products/site/index.html

OR you can even use the default certificate & key that comes with Apache - only thing that happens in this case is that you will get a security alert when you access the site - just say yes there.
