In comming newbie question...

Though Apache is bundled with Redhat I still need to download the rpm's for versions 1.3 and 2.x.

For testing, my goal is to manually install Apache 1.3 and 2.x using the RPM technique on i386 systems running Redhat 8\9 LINUX. I do not want to compile\change Apache. I just want to run the RPM and have the base Apache http server.

I have found it VERY confusing to try to determine rpm and where to get it.

Thanks very much for your help,

Michael42

Sorry - You're looking for httpd-*. There are three packages if you want the devel pkg and manual.
