Hi all,

got a bit of a problem with apache 1.3.27 (compiled from source only with --enable-module=so but I tried with other compile options too) on RH7.2 with php versions (4.2.1 and 4.3.0pre)

I am getting the error loading any of the pages in documentroot;"[error] server reached MaxClients setting, consider raising the M MaxClients setting"and apache crashes. The MaxClients is set to 250 (256 being the max it can have)

Is there another parameter that needs to be changed when the MaxClients parameter is changed? Thanks in advance

Try this..

Load the page that has issues..

On the CLI run

% sockstat | grep httpd | wc -l

How many open processes does it find for Apache?

Let me know..
