Hi all. We have an Apache 2.0.54 server running on a dual homed Windows 2000 platform. We are using it to proxy local requests to another proxy. Everything works fine except for the Post commands. GET commands are sent by the Apache server to its proxy but POST commands are not, in that case the Apache server tries to resolve them by itself not redirecting them to the proxy.

Does anyone know what can be going wrong?.

Hi

The conclusion drawn in thread65-1121362 was that basically proxy could work with fewer modules loaded, but for some features all four modules are required :
mod_proxy.html said:
Apache's proxy features are divided into several modules in addition to mod_proxy: mod_proxy_http, mod_proxy_ftp and mod_proxy_connect.

You have them all ?

Feherke.

Hi. Thank you for your reply. There was one module missing. Now that I have all Proxy modules running, I find that the client does not understand Appache's response to the client "Head" command. It is actually a windows update client that reaches the point where it executes a "Head" command to the server. The server answer with many HTTP tags (that are being passsed to the client) but the "P3P" tag is not passed to the client. Therefore the client retransmit the Head command until fails.
I have "ProxyRequest on,ProxyVia off and ProxyPreserveHost On".
