Apache processes hang and cannot be killed on HP-UX

We have had this problem, where apache proesses hang, become zombies and canot be killed by kill -9, ant Ideas anyone?

Hi,





Have you tried killing the parent (root owned) process ? That should kill of the children (listeners) in theory - mind you, zombies can be difficult to get rid of.
