Hello friends;

I Have a terrible doubt about how I can start and stop the apache web server if the user that need to stop and start isn't root, I explain it.

I'm a System Admin and my team only manager the OS we need that Apache Web Server can be started and stoped with another user. It is possible? Which files are necessary to change for do it?

We installed this apache with root user in a solaris 2.8 box.

Thanks in advance for your time.

You could either make Apache bind to a non-privileged port (a port greater than 1024) or make use of the [tt]sudo[/tt] command. //Daniel

Many thanks Daniel,

Was suspect that only with SUDO I could make this but I was try if anybody knew another method.

Best Regards
