Hello Everyone,

I have moved my website from windows with apahce to linux with apache and now am experiencing path problems.

before I could do this ../php/includes/test.php

now in linux those kind of paths do not work.

any ideas on how I could do this in linux?

Thanks

Actually linux paths work pretty much the same. However, if you copied the files to the linux server as root or if the directories were created by root, apache may not have permission to access them. In general, the directories have the permissions set to 755 for directories and 644 for html and php files.

../php/includes/test.php
says (to windows or linux)
go down one directory from where I currently am, from there go into the directory php, from there into a directory includes and execute the file test.php

It could a permissions issue. It could be where the webroot is that is the problem. It could be where the files are placed in the wrong place in the webroot.
