I just installed Apache HTTP Server for Windows.

How do I keep it from starting-up automatically every time I turn on my computer?

I stop Apache, shut down, boot up, and it starts automatically again. Even when I shut down Windows with the Personal Web Server (PWS) going, Apache will stop PWS and start itself after turning on the computer.

Thanks for the help,
Yoav

Hi,

On NT4/5/6 (or W2K, XP if u prefer) it can run as a 'service'. I think you have to go into the control panel then 'services' or suchlike (thats from memory). For Win9x it must be started manually so presumably would have a line in autoexec.bat .

Regards
