Apache not working after forced restart

I've got a Mac G4 dual 867, running Apache 2.0.47. I've just installed it a couple days ago, and am brand new to all this.

It has been working great until today when my computer froze after trying to plug in a digital camera. I had to force quit my system, and now when I type

http://localhost

into my browser, it says:

Could not open the page “

http://localhost/”

because Safari couldn’t connect to the server “localhost”.

This happens if I type in my ip address instead or use a different browser. Apache is running, and I've tried "gracefully" restarting it.

Any help would be very much apreciated.
