Hi all. I've succesfully configured Apache on Slackware linux. My Server root is "/usr" and my webpage and images
reside in "/usr/local/
My DocumentRoot is "/usr/local/ [ containing the .html files and .gif images ] and when I go onto my webpage I see the webpage but not my .gif logos.

I have seen an httpd.conf entry "HTTP_ACCEPT "images/gif"
but I just doesnt work.

What could be the problem?

Thank you :)

Without being able to see the page myself, I have no idea what the problem could be. Is there any chance it could be in the way you call the images in your html pages? Look in your access and error logs and see if it gives you any help. You might also post a link here if your website is reachable from the internet.

Are you using IE 6.0 to view the pages? I was reading in the browser forum for IE, and some people are having problems with GIFs in IE. Try using the Mozilla browser ( to see if it's a browser dependent problem or if it really is Apache.
