Hi,

Till now I have been running a windows apache install using mod_ntlm for authentication (set to offer basic auth if ntlm is not possible).

This worked perfect for IE4,IE5,IE6,moz firefox, netscape 4.x, ... but I get a problem in IE7. When I click such a protected directory using IE7, I will get the 'authentication problem' page without IE even asking me for a username/password.

Anyone seens problems like this?

(I am not an auth expert, so I guess I am not using the correct jargon here...)

Thanks in advance for any hints,tips,...

I know this isn't a good solution, but is there any difference if you turn off "Integrated Windows Authentication" in IE7? --> Internet Options, Advanced tab, Security section

Thank you for proposing a solution, but sadly that does not the trick. I had already tried that ;-)
