Hello all,
In apache, how can I increase the number of clients connection to the server?

Some say I have to have a MaxClient parameter and the apache doc says I have to change the parameter in httpd.h

could some one help please.

I'm using the apache as a proxy forwarder. So it will forward the request to another proxy server, but the number of clients are limited.

Thanks

Hi,

MaxClients only limits (reduces) the number of httpd listener processes that can run simultaneously. The default is 256. If you want to increase (versus reduce) that can be done only by change the value of HARD_SERVER_LIMIT in the httpd.h header file and recompiling apache from source.

Regards
