apache.exe error - memory could not be written

Having a problem with Apache. It frequently produces a apache.exe error stating that "The instruction xxxxxxxx referenced memory at xxxxxxxx. The memory could not be written." I am thinking it has something to do with PHP but really have no clue. The website is just a front end to a test machine mysql database using php scripts. Any ideas on how I might debug this problem? Thanks in advance!!!
