Apache Config in RH 7.2

I used to modify the httpd.conf for everything related to Apache. Recently, I used RH7.2 and I realised that I am not allowed to modify the httpd.conf. It seems that if I do it manually, it will not take into effect.

In RH 7.2, what I was supposed to do is use "apacheconf" to modify but I do not know how I can make

http://localhost:8080/test/

to work.

that "test" is located in /temp/test.

(*Note: I have changed the default 80 to 8080 in apacheconf)

When you make the changes to httpd.conf, do you restart Apache? The new configuration will not take effect until you do. ______________________________________________________________________
