Took me a while but I got perl to work with apache in a win32 platform.

I do have a problem though, .cgi extensions are parsed as cgi, but not .pl. Any idea's?

Also, are there any concerns I should have about security on a win32 apache server?

Thanks.

I'm not sure about the win 32 version, but maybe this will help. Go to the httpd.conf file, you should be able to pick out the section where it identifies cgi operations, and the recognized file extensions, you should be able to add .pl there, save the file, and restart apache.

crescen7 is referring to the following line:

AddHandler cgi-script .cgi .pl

If you use a firewall such as Norton Personal Firewall 2002, you should be in good shape. Set the security as tight as you can while still having the functions you need, and get all latest Windows patches.
