so here's the problem
users outside of my home network cannot access my server web pages.
to help you out:
1. Before i installed Zone Alarm i could access my pages from anywhere
2. before Zone Alarm i could remote connect to my server from anywhere
3. now that ZA is installed, neither of these work, OUTSIDE of my home network. from other computers i can access my server fine.

any hints? suggestions? links?

I haven't used ZA in quite a while, but it sounds like you have access allowed to port 80/apache/http for your subnet only. If I remember correctly, these are called rules in ZA and you're looking to change that configuration rule from 'subnet only' (or 'my network' or similar) to everyone/all computers or something like that.

From ZA menu get the programs tabs check if Apache is allowed for internet.

If not left click on the Internet coloumn choose allow

yes, i started to play around with it, and figured that out. i think i also had too much security in place for it to be allowed, but it works now. I'm relieved to not have to work off of my server computer anymore. thanks anyway.
