Couple notes... I resind my statement about its doing the conversion... hello.pl had the html tags in it, and index.pl does not. I ran the wrong script to what I actually was thinking about.

I've looked around, and found another hint:

Code:
root@ubuntu:/usr/share/apache2/default-site/cgi-bin# lynx -dump -head [URL unfurl="true"]http://localhost[/URL]
HTTP/1.1 200 OK
Date: Thu, 17 May 2007 01:58:19 GMT
Server: Apache/2.0.55 (Ubuntu)
Last-Modified: Wed, 16 May 2007 23:56:44 GMT
ETag: "2f6a61-4f-1a2e0700"
Accept-Ranges: bytes
Content-Length: 79
Connection: close
Content-Type: text/x-perl

I still can't figure out why its thinking its thinking its supposed to be using text/x-perl instead of text/html.
