I'm new to building web servers, but I just got Apache 2.0.35 up and running on a Red Hat Linux 7.1 server with no problems. The website is running on the server right now. The web designer wants to connect to the server using FrontPage. I did some research and it looks like I have to install FrontPage Extensions? Is this correct? If so, can somebody please direct me to a good howto site, or book, on installing this? Where do I download the FrontPage Extensions package?

Thanks,
Chris

Go to Microsoft's download page, it has Front Page server extensions for Apache and linux. You do need them installed for certain FP functions, such as hit counters and search forms.

I'm a fan of the "Unleashed" series of books. I don't recall seeing an "Apache Unleashed" but learned alot about Apache from "Red Hat Linux Unleashed". The best information available is in front of you right now - just go to the Apache website and read the documentation there.

Hope This Helps!

I actually picked up "Apache Server 2 Bible" last week, and so far its pretty good.
