Apache 2.0.54 does not proxy Windows Update while 1.3.33 does.

Hi All. We are running Apache 1.3.33 on a Windows 2000 Machine. We are using this server to proxy local connected clients to another proxy that connects to the internet. While version 1.3.33 does work well with Windows Update, version 2.0.54 does not. It is related to the "HTTP" "Head" command that windows uses to check for versions.

Have anyone experienced anything similar?.Does anyone what might be wrong?. I have configured the new ".conf" file to load all required modules for the Proxy -which was working- I succesfully connected to other web sites but Windows Update does not work in anyway.

This won't solve your problem (at least not directly) but have you considered implementing a local WSUS server?
