Previously there was a threat discussing mod-ssl and Apache-SSL. However, hopefully mine is a simple question:

We've successfully installed Apache-2.0.43 and have it running on AIX 5.1L quite well. We now are at the point where we require SSL. I've scoured the web, all my books (all relating to Apache 1.3.x) but NOWHERE can I find anything relating to installing/implementing SSL on Apache2.

Has anyone done this successfully? If so, how? I cannot determine if SSL is already included in my installation or what modules I require and how to implement them. Remember, this is for Apache 2 which "MAY" be somewhat different. That's what I'm trying to figure out.

Please advise.

Well, yes! I have look through all the apache 2 documentation I could find. The pages referenced have been printed out and studied. However, while they describe how to define certain situations they DO NOT discuss how to incorporate/activate SSL in Apache 2.x so THAT is what I'm questioning.

Thanks - that link was certainly more helpful (and, of course its now bookmarked).

I plan on re-reading all the pages that I've printed out on this and attempting it again next week. I will post my results following that. Thanks again.
