Hi all

we have installed new Nortel WSS 2360 with two Access Point 2332 connected directely trhough to it.

We have started by quickstart configuration on the WSS and then the AP can't get IP address or connect to the WSS.

Please how to configure the AP to connect to the WSS ?

Thanks

Regards

I think you have to have option 43 in your DHCP scope pointed to the WSS. That is how the APs know where to go.

But where I can configure this parameter of DHCP option 43 ?

I need to connect the AP direclty to the WSS

Thanks

That would be done on your DHCP server under the scope options for the scope that your APs will be getting an address from.

can I do it from WSS 2360 by enabling the DHCP server on default VLAN...? or I need a new external DHCP server..?

Thanks

What is performing the DHCP service for you now? That would be where you would need to set the option. If your DHCP appliance doesn't allow for option programming, you may need an actual DHCP server. I know you can do it in DHCP on a Windows server, can't say for non-Windows.
