I have a nec sl1100 that i'm trying to connect an AP20 with ML440 handsets. I have installed a voip card and programmed new ip addresses and have tried to get the ap to find the handset but all the handset does is show searching for ip address of the AP20. The Ap20 light is green. I have tried it when it is connected to a router from my comcast modem and to a switch and directly to the comcast modem and get the same results. I have contacted the nec help desk and they say it is connected properly and it must be something local that is interfering. I have tried it at my office and home with the same results. I have tried two different AP20's and different handsets. Any suggestions.

Thanks

I suggest a factory default of the AP-20. Unplug the LAN cord, use a paperclip to press and hold the reset button, then plug in the LAN cable. Release the button. Once it's back up, go to the menu mode on a ML-440 phone dial *47* to find the IP address of the AP-20. The AP-20 is set to DHCP at default. Once you find the IP address, follow the set up instructions attached.
