When I connect to AOL it always fails on the first two attempts and connects using the third number no matter what the access numbers are. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Internet Explorer, Service Pack 1, and AOL but I still get the same results. The results are that I can sign on to AOL but I am unable to browse to any web sites. I have contacted AOL and they stated that I had corrupt RAS files and needed to have them repaired and that they could not help me any further. Please Help!!!!!!!!

You could try this program that fixes damaged Winsock entries.
Also run the System File Checker program from the Run Box by typing.....Sfc /Scannow in it and have your XP CD handy.
