aol powered internet explorer

I recently uninstalled aol from a PC. But because aol likes to take over the whole computer, it changed the spinning microsoft icon in internet explorer to a spinning aol icon. Does anyone know of the best way to restore IE the way it was before aol took over?

Go here for a freeware de-brand'ing tool for IE. Works well.
